The Trinity Centre Renovation Project – WREN Grant Award

Over the last couple of years many people have commented on the changes here at the centre. Thanks to the WREN grant scheme we were awarded £75,000 to finish the internal phase of the centre and the results I think you will agree are quite fabulous. Every hall has changed in terms of updated lighting and total decoration. Halls 2 and 3 have been given an ultra-modern glass screening surround to close off the halls and make them more intimate.

All of the old large fold up doors that separate the halls have been changed to a modern new push button electronic shutter system. We have new flooring in the corridors. Sun pipes have been installed by cutting holes in the roof of hall 2 allowing the sun to shine through the roof into hall 2 making it so attractive light and airy. We have new lighting in the newly made corridors throughout the building. All the brickwork has been painted white and the difference in feel and vibe to the centre is amazing. We have new high level glazing installed saving money and bringing in even more light than before. The transformation has been astounding and we have had some wonderful comments from user groups, members of the public and from the commercial world about the facilities on offer here now.

On June 13th we had the great pleasure of welcoming Mark Lancaster M.P to reopen the centre and a wonderful day was had by all.

None of this would have been possible without the financial input of WREN and the centres long term success has been secured by their amazing award to us and the belief they showed in our project. We can only but thank them for their ongoing support and belief.
