Several changes are being considered within the Centre to enhance the services offered to the local community. Whilst these are still at planning stage we would encourage those interested to voice their ideas and opinions, and where possible to offer assistance, be it by making a monetary donation, pledging time or skill or offering expertise and advice.
Internet Café: We are re-launching our Internet Café from October 2012 where there will be general refreshments available. To enhance this our staff will be on hand to assist with basic computer help i.e. setting up an email address, safely using the web etc. We are also looking to setup a small computer room where the computers will be available for use by the community and run free / low cost basic computer courses. The computers will be supplied via Milton Keynes Council and we are currently considering the best placing for the computer room. Internet access will be free to all those purchasing refreshments from the café and two laptops will be available.
Community Garden: In the disused area between the Fishermead Trinity Centre and the Co-Operative Store we are currently awaiting permission from MKBC to use the space as a community garden. We have fenced off the area and hope to be able to clear the site over the coming months. This will truly be a valuable resource for the community and one that is well deserved. Volunteers will be needed and a subcommittee, so anyone interested please contact our Centre Manager.
Storage: There are new secure storage areas in the courtyard for regular users. Anyone needing assistance should contact Tony
Office: Tony will have a new office from September 2012 at the end of Hall 3. This has recently been refurbished and replaces the old office which has seen far better days, Tony will be available in this new office every morning Monday though to Friday once completed and will be accessible to all users with enquiries during those times.
